food from flexeserve hub

“When we were looking to purchase a heated merchandiser for our chickens and hot food, we got a quote on the Flexeserve from Meris as well as an alternate unit from another supplier. The Flexeserve® was more expensive, so we went with the other unit. From day one of installing the other unit we had a myriad of issues, the hot shelf system ruined the food, everything had to be wrapped in foil and looked terrible, and somehow it managed to be so hot that it melted the chicken bags while at the same time the chickens were not up to temp. We were told that the chickens had to be pushed all the way to the back of the shelf to keep them warm. After three months of this and an inability for anyone to be able to fix it, we re-approached Meris about the Flexeserve® unit and they helped us out. We installed a Flexeserve® zone and sent the other back to the other supplier. The Flexeserve has done all the things they told us it would, and we have not had an issue. Clearly, you get what you pay for and the Flexeserve® is worth it”

The Challenge

FoodWorks Wollongbar was struggling with an efficient hot-hold unit for there cooked chickens. The old unit had major performance issues, including but not limited to:

  • Poor product holding
  • Product and packaging damage
  • Poor temperature regulation
  • Plus servicing issues

Shane did some research into the marketplace and then reached out to the Meris team. Who discussed and demonstrated the Flexeserve® Zone cabinet as a solution to solve the current problems and would also outperform any other cabinet’s holding capabilities in the market.

The new Flexeserve® unit has been performing perfectly, which has improved customer satisfaction as well as:

  • Increased Hot-holding capabilities
  • Improved Product Quality
  • Increase in Roast Chicken Sales
  • Decreased Wastage
