How to lift the standard of food to go across the market? In an attempt to offer convenience to customers, the industry has broadly sacrificed a lot of freshness and range. There is opportunity to see greater convenience for for food, but also fresher and better. When retailers look to build on food for now, they often run into some difficulties as areas that are not normal parts of retailing need to be managed.  Here is a quick overview of the steps;

  1. First you need to break up the food offer into components.
  2. Look at the actual food and menu, 
  3. How it’s cooked or heated. 
  4. What type of food display does the food go into, 
  5. What is the most appropriate food packaging for the job?
  6. What is the in-store process to ensure it all works at a store level.

There is ongoing demand for retailers to increase the range of food types they can offer which is just one of the benefits of updating hot equipment. The traditional styles of equipment can reduce the ability to hold food at appropriate temperatures and can reduce the quality, while newer models increase the freshness and hold time of hot food, making it a much greater customer experience.
